Villa NM By UN Studio

As I am currently working on a new project for Uni, I got the chance to do some research about the Amazing Villa NM by UN Studio.
Located just two hours away from New York City, this holiday house is a breathtaking example of what modern architecture and design is all about!
This luxurious yet simple Villa is making the most out of the hill it's located-that's where the idea for a slipt level came from ! It is a clever idea to bridge the split level by twisting some of the surfaces a quarter turn - a wall that twists on its central axle horizontally becomes a floor halfway up. Walls flow into floors and floors back into walls. The resulting curves naturally become the basis of a set of stairs and so the twist bridges the difference in level in a rather literal sense as well. As the architect  Mr Ben van Berkel said: “The house moves on, over and with the landscape.”In my personal opinion. I think this is a brilliant building.I love simplicity in Design and Architecture and this private house proves that simple design is not simple at all. ''Less is more'' and It's actually hard to achive that
See by yourself:

The Villa was saddly destroyed by fire a few years ago, but it's qenius design will live and inspire us for ever
